  • Työelämään liittyviä normaaleja tunteita

A text concerning normal feelings related to working life.

Jussi Koitela's writing gathers essays and critical reflections on contemporary art practice, curatorial work, and the conditions of artistic labor. The texts consider how institutions shape creative life, how money and precarious fees infiltrate the everyday work of the art worker, and how ethical demands sit uneasily alongside institutional melancholy. Rather than treating theory as separate from practice, the writing follows the artist's own long-term engagements with exhibitions, public projects, and collaborative models in cities such as Tampere, Tallinn, Copenhagen, and the landscapes around Kärsämäki. Each piece asks what an artist is required to manage, perform, and absorb in order to keep working, linking personal feeling to the structural forces of economy, bureaucracy, taxation, and access to health insurance, and closing with notes on biography, exhibitions, and ongoing activity.
